Narrative has always been a focus in my work, whether in my time as a community manager or when designing content across the storytelling spectrum. While working on Paladins, I led an initiative to bring narrative back as a core focus for the dev team. I collaborated with several developers across departments to restore a lore team, merging disciplines and skillsets to both tidy up existing canon and carve a path forward to tell stories. As a part of this, we made an internal timeline of the events of Paladins:
After these internal benchmarks were hit, we went on to plan out narrative arcs together to take players on through limited Series of flash fiction released outside the game, both as promotional tie-in to updates as well as player engagement around content that wasn’t viable to invest resources in game for. These stories were all written by me, then ran through the lore team both for refinement and proofreading. In total, we released a total of 15 Chronicles over 14 months!

In addition to my work on these short stories, staring in late 2023 I began to write the chatter scripts for skins released throughout 2024. These skins are unique characters with their own voice lines for every single in-game interaction and callout, in total I wrote 4 scripts as well as handled casting of the voice talent and sat in on their recording session to provide feedback and help guide direction.
